Project history

Leased  in October 2002 by MSC and delivered 15.8.2003, under long-term charter since 2008. Modified commercial vehicle and personnel ferry available for various logistic support and transportation duties. This type is inherently unsuitable for high-intensity combat roles due to basic configuration, lack of damage control capability and lack of protection features.

Had enclosure for two MH-60S helicopters and 24.7x15.2m flight deck. The stern ramp was capable of deploying M1 Abrams heavy tanks. Can carry 267 automobiles. Aluminium construction.

Modernizations

None.

Naval service

No significant events.
