Project history

First three were voted in 1956; last three in 1957. The class were an improved Hajen type with only one, larger 5-blade propeller, giving reduced noise and higher speed.

Modernizations

1970, Delfinen, Nordkaperen, Springaren; 1971, Draken, Gripen, Vargen: - old radar, sonar; + PS819 radar, new sonar
