Project history

This is the Project 1135 successor. Like Project 11351, it is intended to fire a surface-ship variant of the standard submarine ASW stand-off missile. The elimination of special ASW missile tubes leaves space aft for helicopter. Missiles and torpedoes are fired from catapults. The sonar suite consisted of bow, flank and towed VDS arrays.
