Ship project history: Northland was intended for service in the Arctic. Hull had ice reinforcements. Northland became one of the first American full-welded ships.

1944: - seaplane; + 4 x 1 - 20/70 Oerlikon, 2 DCT, 2 DCR, SC-1, SF radars, QCJ-3 sonar

Naval service: No significant events.
