Ship project history: Ex-US submarines, taken by lend-lease. Development of "O" class submarines with larger calibre of TT (533mm), 20 boats of the first group (R1-R20) built under Holland design. Saddle-tank.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: P514 was lost 21/6/1942 in Atlantic. Two remaining are formally returned the USA in 1944, but handed over on demolition in Britain.
