Ship project history: Leaders of the second series had the improved seaworthiness, their bridge has been moved on 4m astern, and second 102mm gun mounted in a superimposed position. They were actively used in days of WWI.
Modernizations: late 1916, Seymour: was converted to minelayer: - 2 x 1 - 102/40, 2 x 2 - 533 TT; + rails for 80 mines.
Naval service: Hoste collided with destroyer Negro off Shetland Islands, two her depth-charges detonated and stern of ship was demolished. Ship was finally abandoned.
