18pdr frigates, 36 guns (fifth rate), reclassed as 42/44-gun in 1817. Designed by Sir William Rule.
Modernizations
1828, Semiramis: was cut down to 24-gun 6th rate corvette with armament consisted of 16 x 1 - 161/16 32pdr SBML, 6 x 1 - 139/18 18pdr SBML, 2 x 1 - 93/16 6pdr SBML
1829, Galatea: fitted with experimental man-powered propelling machinery
1831, Curacoa, Magicienne: were cut down to 26-gun 6th rate corvettes with armament consisted of 6 x 1 - 204/13 68pdr 65cwt shell SBML, 2 x 1 - 194/16 56pdr 85cwt SBML, 12 x 1 - 162/17 32pdr 50cwt SBML, 6 x 1 - 160/11 32pdr 25cwt SBML

Naval service
Apollo wrecked near Cape Mondego (Portugal) 2.4.1804. Blanche was taken by French 40-gun frigate Le Topaze and others in the Atlantic off Porto 19.7.1805 and burnt. Saldanha wrecked 4.12.1811 off Lough Swilly. Manilla wrecked on the Haak Sand 28.1.1812.
