Ship project history:  Last British version of LST, however application of heavier VTE and riveted hull instead of welded has led to that the British variant yielded American on all parametres, except speed.

Modernizations:  1964, Lofoten: + flight deck for helicopters, 6 Wessex helos.

Naval service:  No significant events.
