Ship project history


Former Italian minelayer Lepanto, scuttled by own crew at Shanghai 9/9/1943. In February, 1944 she was salvaged by Japanese and in March commissioned as gunboat. Okitsu was 21/3/1945 hard damaged by American Army aircraft, in August, 1945 she surrendered to Allies and transferred to China. In 1949 the ship escaped to Taiwan.
