Ship project history: Purpose-built patrols of Secretary of militarised guards of merchant fleet, First was commissioned as Lanzon 1/5/1936, and after beginning of Civil War got under the control of Nationalists. Her sister-ship has got to Republicans (her name is unknown), later transferred to private owner but commissioned by Navy 5/9/1942 as V17, by this time Lanzon was renamed V18.
