Ship project history: Built in Spain by "La Carraca" under drawings of German S38 class, Spanish designation of project is LT-40. Licence agreement with "Lürssen" was signed 24/6/1942, building of 10 boats was authorised by the decree from 30/3/1944, first two boats were laid down in 1944. Because of the cessation of deliveries of materials from Germany and absence of boatbuilding experience building was extremely delayed. Six boats (LT27-32), for which Germans had time to deliver motors in wartime, were completed only in 1953-59. Remaining four boats were suspended in 1958 and ultimately cancelled 11/5/1962.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: No significant events.
