Ship project history: First German "schnellboot" S1, commissioned by Reichsmarine 7/8/1930. In civil war S1 was bought by Spanish Nationalists and transferred to them at Cadiz in March, 1937. Her petrol engines had considerable deterioration and low-level reliability.
