Ship project history: Former Latvian Imanta and Viesturs. Purpose-built minesweepers-minelayers projected on the basis of a tug. Since occurrence of Latvia in the USSR 19/8/1940 they were commissioned by Baltic Fleet.

Modernizations: 1944, No51: - 1 x 1 - 75/35?; + 1 x 1 - 76/55 34K, 1 x 1 - 45/46 21K, 3 x 1 - 12.7/79

Naval service: T-299 was lost 1/7/1941 on German mine W off Saaremaa Island (Northern Baltic).
