Project history

An iron-hulled, wood-sheathed, central battery ship, the hull being recessed fore and aft of the battery to allow some axial fire. The 229mm guns were in a short battery with the 152mm fore and aft on the upper deck. The Knyaz' Pozharskiy was fully rigged and was said to be a bad seaboat.

Ship protection

The 102mm belt was complete on the waterline, and the ram projected 2.4m.

Naval service

Reclassified as TS in March 1906, converted to hulk in October 1909, sold for BU in April 1911.
