Project history
Replacement for the project 11351 frigates and project 97P patrol icebreakers. Icebreaking reinforced hull and machinery permit to break 80cm-thick ice. Helicopter hangar and flight deck. Ship are intended to perform patrol duties in sea and ocean zones, counterpiracy and search and rescue duties. Bordering RIBs can be launched and recovered at full speed.
