Project history

Former East German project 151A craft, purchased incomplete without engines and armament prior the unification of Germany. Completed for Polish navy as project 660 instead of cancelled indigenous project 665.

Modernizations

2003, Piorun; 2005, Grom; 2007, Orkan: - NUR-27XA, SRN-443, MR-123 Vympel-AME radars, + 4 x 2 RBS-15 Mk 2 SSM (8 RBS-15 Mk 2), Sea Giraffe AMB 3D, CRM-200, Sting-EO radars, Bren ECM suite, TACTICOS CCS

2011-2012, all: - 4 x 2 RBS-15 Mk 2 SSM; + 4 x 2 RBS-15 Mk 3 SSM (8 RBS-15 Mk 3)
