Ship project history: British T-class (3rd group) submarines, transferred to Dutch Navy even before completion. Under reached arrangement, it was planned to transfer three submarines of the given class, but finally only two were transferred, and instead of the third 2 submarines of U class were offered. Two another submarines of "T" class (2nd and 3rd series) were delivered in 1948 but soon in 1953 returned to UK. Zeehond was equipped by a snorkel
Modernizations: 1961, Tijgerhaai: - 5 - 533 TT (2 ext bow, 3 ext stern), 12 torpedoes at all.
