Project history

Designed on the basis of Japanese submarine chasers, but with significantly moderated dimensions, machinery power and speed. Japanese names were Kaiho and Koirun.

22.8.1945 both ships were captured Soviet troops at Port Arthur and 13.9.1945 commissioned by Soviet Navy as guard ships Veter and Shtil `.
