Project history

Ordered in 1966. There was no provision for helicopter with hatch covering over the Limbo well forming the flight deck. Ship also had unusual machinery layout with gas turbine and diesel driving into one gearbox, which, in turn, driven two propeller shafts.

Modernizations

1982: - 1 x 4 Sea Cat SAM, M44 radar; + 1 x 1 - 40/70 Bofors 350

1993: + MS32 radar, UA-3 ECM suite

1997: - LW-02 radar
