Project history

The improved variant of Isokaze, differed from a prototype by more powerful machinery with oil-firing boilers and, accordingly, increased speed. Number of 120mm guns was lowered, but calibre of torpedoes has increased to 533mm.

As hulks both ships have lived to the Second World War.
