Project history

Built under the 1927 programme for service on the Upper Yangtze. She had very shallow draught and was carried to the Yangtze on board of cargo vessel.

Naval service

Kotaka served as passenger vessel about 1942, she was sunk 31.5.1944 on Yangtze by Chinese aircraft.
