Ship project history:  Former Italian submarine Giuseppe Finzi, captured 9/9/1943 at Bordeaux after capitulation of Italy, 14/10/1943 she entered German service as UIT21. There is an unchecked information about converting of Giuseppe Finzi to transport submarine in Italian navy.

Modernizations: 1943: artillery consisted of 1 x 2 - 20/65 C/38; + FuMO 30 radar, FuMB 3 Bali, FMB 6 Palau ECM suites

Naval service: UIT21 was scuttled at Bordeaux 25/8/1944.
