Project history

Ex-British submarine Seal of Porpoise class, captured 5.5.1940 by Ar 196 from 1.B.Fl.Gr. 196 in Kattegat being damaged by a mine. 23.7.1940 she was renamed UB and commissioned 30.11.1940 by Kriegsmarine.

Naval service

UB was stricken 31.7.1941, wreck was scuttled 3.5.1945 at Kiel.
