War order R. Double-hulled. They had a diving time of 35 seconds. Improved 'Project 43' (U115) type boats (themselves known as 'Project 25') of greatly enlarged radius of action, built by Danzig N Yd; they were very nearly finished by the end of the war, but broken up in situ.
