Project history

In 1939 French Navy ordered 18 corvettes of British "Flower" class, 6 of them were built on French shipyard in St. Nazaire were captured by German troops in June, 1940. Completion of 4 ships was continued for Kriegsmarine as patrol ships with strengthened AA armament.

Modernizations

None.

Naval service

РА1 was damaged by Allied aircraft during completion. РА2 and РА1 were sunk by British aircraft at Le Havre 15.6.1944 and 24.8.1944 respectively. РА3 was damaged by British aircraft at Le Havre and stricken 17.8.1944. Incomplete РА4 was scuttled at Nantes in August, 1944.
