Ship project history: In 1939 French Navy ordered 18 corvettes of British "Flower" class, 6 of them were built on French shipyard in St. Nazaire were captured by German troops in June, 1940. Completion of 4 ships was continued for Kriegsmarine as patrol ships with strengthened AA armament.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: ĐÀ1 was damaged by Allied aircraft during completion. ĐÀ2 and ĐÀ1 were sunk by British aircraft at Le Havre 15/6/1944 and 24/8/1944 respectively. ĐÀ3 was damaged by British aircraft at Le Havre and stricken 17/8/1944. Incomplete ĐÀ4 was scuttled at Nantes in August, 1944.
