Ship project history: Auxiliary submarine chasers based on trawler hulls ordered by Kriegsmarine to Dutch shipbuilders.

Modernizations: None.

Naval service: UJ1119 was sunk by Allied aircraft at Sassnitz 6/3/ or 5/5/1945. UJ1435 was sunk by rockets of Allied aircraft 24/3/1945 off Egersund. Externsteine was captured by USN icebreaker Eastwind and renamed Eastbreeze. She served as trial ship IX205 Callao till 1950.
