Ex-cargo vessel of Nord-Deutsche Lloyd, completed in 1906. Converted to catapult vessel for Deutsche Lűfthansa in 1933. Seaplanes were handled by 15t crane.

Westfalen was sunk by mine 7.9.1944 in Skagerrak.
