Project history

This small experimental submarine, designed by Marquis de Dion (famous automobile designer), was a derivation from Goubet. Classified as sous-marin vedette or immersible vedette. Planned for handling on one of the battleships. Construction started on 18 October 1904, but was later cancelled. Uncompleted hull used for experiments.
