Ship project history: Tugs used as patrols.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: Élan II was captured by British 3/7/1940, used as barrage balloon vessel and later as target tug, she was returned in 1945 and scrapped. Renne was captured by Germans at Bizerte 8/12/1942 and bombed by Allied aircraft 7/12/1943. Zébu foundered 12/6/1940 off Le Havre. Aurochs was captured by Germans in June, 1940 and returned in 1945.
