Project history

Improvised minesweepers in tug hulls.

Modernizations

early 1940s, both completed: + 2 x 1 - 20/60 Madsen

early 1940s, all were armed with 1 x 1 - 40/60 Mk 7, 1 x 1 - 20/20 Mk 7, 20 mines

1979, Pukkio, Porkkala; 1984, Pansio: armament consisted of 1 x 1 - 20/70 Mk 7 (can be fitted), 20 mines or cargo

Naval service

Porkkala 28.11.1941 in Kojvisto Sound was stricken by a mine, laid by Soviet submarine Lembit and sank; by summer of 1942 she was salvaged and repaired.
