Ship project history: Former USN detsroyer escorts of GMT (Evarts) class, leased to China.
Modernizations: None.
Naval service: Both ships escaped to Taiwan in 1949. Later, 14/11/1954, Tai Ping was torpedoed and sunk by Communist torpedo boats off Tachen Islands.
