Project history

Fu Po was transferred to China by Royal Navy, three other ships were Flower class corvettes, sold for mercantile service and later rearmed by PRC. Also they received Soviet weapons.

Modernizations

None.

Naval service

Fu Po collided with s/s Hai Ming 19.3.1947 in Formosa Strait and sank. Kaifeng was converted to survey vessel in 1974-1975, disarmed and served in this role till 1989. One more ship, ex-Maw Hwa, may also been rearmed, but if so she was no longer in service by the mid-1950s.
