Project history Szamos and Körös became

Szamos and Körös became the ancestors of the whole family of the Danube monitors. Very successful ships for their time. In March 1919 passed under control of the Hungarian Soviet Republic but scrapped two years later.

Ship protection

Hull was protected by 50mm sides and 19mm deck, CT had 50mm(Szamos)-75mm(Körös) sides.
